TAB Art Gallery, led by Teresa Pomykała successfully for many years, is devoted to promote and exhibit polish artists, both widely known and promising artists of younger generation. The Gallery has in its collection contemporary paintings, graphics and sculptures,  copies of historical and landscape painting of most distinguished polish artists.
In the Gallery can also be found great collection of ceramics, silverware with amber and mother-of-pearl, etc., artistic glass, stained glass lamps, gobelins – all made by polish artists.

Teresa Pomykała organizes from her collection auctions of contemporary art, she accepts such tasks as interiors design, especially if it concerns art advisory, the Gallery also provides  copies and portraits for an order, or luxurious souvenirs.


Teresa Pomykała TAB Art Gallery's History


 

Teresa Pomykała, maiden name Leśniewska, owns two art galleries and is a promoter of artistic group - Polish Pallet. She was rewarded International Arch Of Europe for quality and excellence in the Gold Category, Frankfurt 2008, for her achievements on a field of organization and promotion of art.

First appearance of Teresa Pomykała was in 1978-81, when she opened Art Gallery “Derby”, which was the first coffee bar- gallery in  Warsaw’s large district -Ursynów. After a short brake, in 1990, she reappeared on artistic scene establishing a chain of galleries, named now “TAB”, by the Warsaw hotels – Novotel, Vera, Gromada, and inCracow’sGrand Hotel’s beautiful, old basement.

In her activity she not only exhibited and sold art, she was also actively involved in art market, discovered young artists, supported and exhibited those forgotten, promoted the most interesting phenomenons of contemporary art, organized fashion shows of talented stylists. Soon she gained herself reputation of kind, art loving Mecenas, protector and promoter.

In mid-90’s Teresa Pomykała undertook close cooperation with late Edward Arnold, vienna art critic, gallery owner, and publisher of “Vernissage”, magazine devoted to fine arts. From now on “Vernissage” regularly inserted information about Mrs.Teresa’s activities, promoting chosen by her polish artists.
In the meantime she was proposed to take over a position of managing director of polish art institution in Düsseldorf. However, due to very unstable polish politics at the time, the talks failed to have the desired effect.

In year 2000, another so called branch of TAB Art Gallery was created, in Prague, Kinsky Palace, where many polish artists were presented.
